Efflorescence
Cause
Water and moisture seep through cracks in the cement wall, dissolving alkaline in the mortar. It then evaporates through the wall creating a stain on the surface.
Solution
Step 1
Surface preparation
Nippon Paint Vinilex Wall Putty
- Scrub and clean all stains on the surface by using a plastic brush, damp cloth, or high-pressure water jet.
- If the surface has cracks with a width of less than 2 millimeters, cracks must be repaired with Nippon Paint Vinilex Wall Putty.
- The surface must be completely clean and dry without any dust before painting.*
*After scrubbing, if the paint coating is still in good condition, you do not need to repaint.
