Fungus and algae
Causes
- The wall has accumulated moisture, causing mold and algae to grow.
- The surface is in an environment with lots of water or humidity, e.g., near the drain or walls that have water leakage.
Solution
Step 1
Surface preparation
Nippon Paint Vinilex Bio Wash
- Apply Nippon Paint Vinilex Bio Wash on the concrete wall and leave it for 30 minutes.
- Scrape the mold off with a paint scraper. Scrub and clean the old paint with water and a plastic brush.
- Apply Nippon Paint Vinilex Bio Wash one more time and leave it to dry for 3-4 hours to prevent future mold growth.
- The surface must be completely clean and dry without any dust before painting.
Step 2
Primer
Nippon Paint Aqua Sealer
- Small paint molecules can effectively penetrate the inner cement layer.
- Water-based formulation has a low odor and low volatile compounds.
Step 3
Topcoat
Nippon Paint AirCare
- Anti-Formaldehyde that might cause irritation to eyes/skin including respiratory disease.
- Resist the growth of coronavirus and influenza virus (H1N1) on paint film.
- Zero VOCs.
- Excellent washability.
- Odorless during painting. Be able to move in after paint.
